About the Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga includes an exciting and dynamic sequence of postures linked together by breath and flowing transitions. Regular practice of the Ashtanga series will activate our energetic centers (chakras & glandular systems) and awaken dormant energy in the spine. The dance-like flow inherent in Vinyasa Yoga has its roots in the Ashtanga system. Each day in our afternoon workshops we will focus on a different group of carefully choreographed sequences targeting specific areas of our body, and including elements of restorative practice. We will learn how to get more out of our practice, and consequently our lives, while we gain strength, flexibility, equipoise and deeper insight.
